Inclusion is NOT merely placing children with special needs in a mainstream classroom with typical children IF there is lack of expertise in providing appropriate accommodation, and if no meaningful social interactions between the child with special needs and typical children. 

Inclusion is a two-way street - Not only is the child with special needs taught skills to meet the demands of a mainstream classroom, but the environment and instruction is also redesigned to foster the success of the child with special needs, and typical children in the same settings. 

Inclusion emphasizes on the research proven strategies that are beneficial for ALL children.
